The face of Stonehenge is so iconic that it is very difficult to add anything new or surprising to that image. Nevertheless, I have found a number of old photos with surprising scenes. For example of old festivals, celebrations and demonstrations. This is a cheerful, somewhat naive representation of one in which those present climbed on the stones and clamped themselves with their backs and feet between the horseshoes.
I’ve painted this image with acrylic paint on wallpaper, 24 x 32 cm.
