Like many neolithic dolmens, Chun Quoit is located in a place that offers breathtaking views. The sea is close and visible. Rocks and heathland determine this Cornish landscape. What I love about this dolmen is its compact shape. It looks like it is shielding something. And that was of course the case thousands of years ago. In vain, incidentally. Archaeologists had to determine that all content has since disappeared.
I’ve painted this image with acrylic paint on wallpaper, 24 x 32 cm.
